Exhibtion: 'Play! The Art of the Game'

From the 17th of June till the 24th of September the collaborative work 'Draw a Line' of Jeanne van Heeswijk and Rolf Engelen will be shown in the exhibition 'Play! The Art of the Game' in the Cobra Museum in Amstelveen. Game and play have been defining impulses for major 20th and 21st artists. Innovative thinking and the experiment were their guiding principles. Art & Play come together in this 'playful' summer exhibition that invites viewers to interact with art works like 'Draw a Line'.

'Draw a Line' was first shown in 2000 in the Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery, followed by the Venice Art Biennale in 2003 and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in 2004. Some of the other artists in this exhibition in the Cobra Museum are Marcel Duchamp, Hans Arp, Hugo Ball, Kurt Schwitters, George Maciunas, Fischli & Weiss, Jean Tinguely Constant, Teun Hocks, Douwe Dijkstra and last but not least Laurel & Hardy with their film 'Brats'.
